Founded in 1963 and established in 1974, the Moreton Bay Boat Club is situated on the foreshore of the Scarborough Harbour and is the perfect boating and social club for the family. The Club has a 118 berth marina and offers casual and long term berth rentals. Hardstand storage, ramps and secure car park are also available.
The Clubhouse has full bar and gaming facilities and an a la carte restaurant, the Harbour Side Restaurant, where you can either dine “on the deck” or inside in air conditioned comfort. The restaurant also caters for weddings and special functions.
Many Club events are held throughout the year for the benefit of members and their guests, including a Melbourne Cup Luncheon, Mariners Ball, Blessing of the Fleet/Sail Past, Children’s Christmas Party, New Year’s Eve Party and other special functions and events including Mothers Day, Valentines Day, State of Origin and theatre and gourmet nights.
The Club also holds other special events including high profile fishing tournaments including the 8kg Billfish Challenge held over the Australia Day weekend and other tournaments. The sailing section runs regular WAGS and SAGS social races, championship races, single handed, lady skippers and passage races.
