Game/Sportfish
The Game/Sportfish section holds regular fishing weekends throughout the year and an ever growing annual 8kg Billfish Challenge Tournament held in January over the Australia Day weekend. This competition is attended by fishing enthusiasts from all over Australia and attracts substantial media attention. Other major tournaments include a Junior Tournament and a Ladies Tournament.
Whether you are the owner of a large boat or a smaller boat, you are welcome to join the Game/Sportfish section and fish the waters off Moreton Island which abound with Sailfish, Mackerel and Shark. The Game/Sportfish section holds General meetings on the first Tuesday of each month.
MBBC Game/Sportfish Section fish socially and competitively the waters off Moreton Island and hold a Game fish Classic each January.
